AL-FIN – AL Jou FINansies In Plek; Op Een Plek

2019 – The year we decided to build our own trail. When we originally decided on the company name, we found that the meaning translates to AT LAST/FINALLY in Spanish. We started our business AT LAST. We can get you tax compliant AT LAST and when your bookkeeping, tax and admin burns you out, you have a friendly team to call AT LAST.

If you need an accountant/bookkeeper that wants to grow with you and your business and are always ready to walk the extra mile, you have come to the right place.

We are a small firm with big hearts and are motivated to help our clients by offering efficient services. We are dedicated to save you time, money, and tax while you focus on running your business. Individuals, businesses, big or small; we have been in the industry since 2004. Annual Financial Statements, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT/PAYE/SDL/TAX, secretarial/admin services, the list goes on. With continuous professional development programs and constant training, we can provide our clients with advice regarding tax legislation and how to save tax legally.

We will come to you if going digital, paperless, and green is not your thing. Let us grow our trees together.

When a firm employs personnel, tax is deducted from the employees’ salaries. Employers are required to withhold this tax each month and pay it over to SARS on the taxpayer’s behalf. Payroll tax returns need to be submitted monthly on or before the 7th day after the end of the month during which the amount was deducted. An employer who is registered with SARS for PAYE, is also required to register for the payment of UIF. UIF gives short-term relief to workers when they become unemployed or are unable to work because of maternity or illness. We will register you as the employer and your employees. The employer must pay a total contribution of 2% (1% by the employee and 1% by the employer).

Where an employer expects that the total salaries will be more than R500,000 over the next 12 months, the employer becomes liable to pay SDL. We will register you as the employer. SDL is a levy (1%) imposed to encourage learning and development. The funds are to be used to develop and improve skills of employees.

Annual Financial Statements (AFS) compiled annually

This includes an income statement, balance sheet, statement of changes in equity, notes and in most cases, a statement of cash flows. All companies are required to submit signed financial statements to SARS and it must comply with the prescribed standards in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for SME’s. Depending on the public interest score of the company, some small companies can choose to use its own financial reporting standards and compile their AFS internally. Where the AFS needs to be compiled independently by an accounting professional, we are at your service.

If your business needs funding, all banks, and independent lenders would require AFS. As per the companies act, a company’s AFS has to be finalised within 6 months after its financial year end.
